COPOPS Formative Press Conference
On Tuesday, March 16, COPOPS distributed pledge forms to legislators
in the State Capitol and held its first press conference. Print
and broadcast media covered the event where several COPOPS members
explained why they joined and why they are concerned about condition
of K-12 public school funding in Colorado. COPOPS members filled
the back of the room, behind the podium.
The media coverage was very positive and included:
- a column by Diane Carman in the Denver Post
- a story broadcast
on KGNU-FM
- a story in the Craig
Daily Press
- a story in the Rocky
Mountain Bullhorn (Fort Collins)
- a story in the Sterling Journal-Advocate
- a story broadcast on March 16 on Channel 7 Television (Denver
KMGH)
