Education is the pillar that supports everything else. Everything from our personal lives, to the health of our towns and communities, to the future of our country begins in the public school classroom. In the history of the world, every nation has risen and fallen based on the importance that society has placed on education. If we don’t realize that and realize it soon, the United States of America will soon become a nation of 300 million children left behind.

I support preschool and pre-K because every study ever done concludes that those you have, enjoy a lifetime advantage over those who have not.

I support de-weaponizing CSAP so that our professional teachers may return to teaching, and not just testing.

I support recognizing the worth of those who seek a vocational or family oriented path.

I support after school activities, because they are the best way to keep kids in school, out of trouble, and off of drugs.

I support affordable and easily accessible adult education in every district including GED, English as a second language, and refresher course in high school math, science, civics, and health.

And I support the basic notion that we must find ways to build up our perception of public education, not look for excuses to knock it down.
