I am the mother of two school age children Austin and Riley. I have a Bachelors degree from UCCS, and I work locally as a senior insurance adjuster. I have lived in Colorado Springs for over 26 years, with 15 of those years in District 15.

I support Colorado’s public school system and believe our focus for improving education should lie in the improvement of our public schools through better funding, training, and teacher recruitment and retention. I believe we should revisit the emphasis on the CSAP and create a curriculum that also emphasizes the arts, and athletics to help produce well rounded students who are not just taught to answer questions on a test.

My most current interest in the educational system stems from the fact that I have two children in the District 11 school system. As a parent, and as a candidate for State House District 15, education is a top priority.
