I have served in the State Legislature since 1998, first in the Colorado State House and currently as your State Senator. It has been my honor and a true pleasure to represent the people of Senate District #2, and I hope that I have earned your support to serve another term in the State Senate.

I have been an advocate for lower taxes, agriculture, economic development, and a stronger education for our children. My record proves that I am the only candidate in this race with the PROVEN leadership and experience to be a STRONG VOICE for those I represent in Southern Colorado.

On Education, I will:

• Fight to put a child’s education back into the hands of local school board and parents
• Empower and train teachers
• Safe, state-of-the-art classrooms for all children
• More access to higher education for rural students
