John Morse has the experience we need and the integrity we deserve. John was most recently the CEO of Silver Key Senior Services which helps individuals over 60 stay independent by providing services such as transportation and meals on wheels. Prior to that, John served our community as Chief of Police in Fountain and was a Colorado Springs police officer for many years. Additionally, John was a CPA and worked his way through college on a paramedic ambulance.
 
John is a product of public education. He graduated from Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs in 1976, our bicentennial year, and went on to obtain higher education primarily in the public university system. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, an MBA from Regis University (his only private school degree), an MPA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from the University of Colorado at Denver.  

He is committed to public education, P-16 and beyond. He has lived its benefits and shares those benefits with his community on a daily basis.
