Jodi is a Regional Prevention Consultant working for the training and technical assistance project, the Regional Prevention Services (RPS), housed at OMNI and funded by the Colorado Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD). She is responsible for planning and providing consulting services to communities and organizations in the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division's Region 1, the Northeastern region of the state. Based in Loveland, Colorado, Jodi provides consulting services in planning, implementing and evaluating effective prevention programs, policies and practices within the Northeastern region.
Prior to her work as a Regional Prevention Specialist, Jodi served as an Americorps VISTA volunteer working with the Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation. There, her work focused on community development, health promotion and America's Promise in Larimer County. Jodi also has previous work experience in the areas of migrant health and education.
Currently, Jodi is a Class of 2003 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow. As a Fellow, her focus has been on prevention application within rural communities and tobacco control/policy change. Jodi is working on the national level with a mentor, Cassandra Welch, with the American Cancer Society in Washington, D.C.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Public Health from Central Michigan University and a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Administration with a grassroots policy concentration at Regis University.
Recently quoted on why Jodi is running for office, she stated, "We need strong advocates who are willing to take a leadership role necessary to see change. I am that community champion."
